☆ I have been in theater since I was six years old, first getting into stage management around five years ago. I stage managed my first show in high school, and proceeded to get extremely involved in Stage Management in college. Since arriving at college, I found a passion for all things management and have been trying to get any and all experience I can. I found my passion for stage management in the details, as I have always loved creating and organizing, but never knew there was a place for this in the industry I have known and loved for so long.
☆ While pursuing my degree, I am also the President of our National Theater Honor Society, Alpha Psi Omega, as well as an ambassador for the Theater Department within the College of Liberal Arts through the University. I love having the ability to share the theater with others and introducing them to the joy of our industry!
☆ While I tend to focus in stage management, I also have extensive experience on stage and in audio. I have been performing since the age of 6, and working with/as the sound designer(s) for 8 years now. I love every aspect of the theater that I can be involved in and I am always willing to learn new things and grow any skills that I may or may not already have.
☆ I had the opportunity to work professionally at Shenandoah Summer Music Theater my first summer of college, after my freshman year, as an Audio Assistant. I enjoyed my experience so much, I then went back and worked with the same company the summer after my sophomore year as an Assistant Stage Manager/Run Crew.
☆ I am currently, and have been for the last two years, employed at our local theater, The Gertrude C Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Through this, I have had the experience to work multiple national tour productions with Audio and Electrics teams. I also work regularly with them to maintain the theater spaces and set up for other university events, creating great experience for myself to learn and grow in this industry.
